Pré de Provence: Soap or Cream

I am looking to pick up some Pre de Provence and am not sure if I should go with the soap or cream (although I am leaning towards the soap). There are great reviews of the soap in the forums but nothing on the cream. Can anyone give me a 2 minute review of the cream so I can compare them to the reviews of the soap? Thanks all!

Can I get that to you tomorrow?

I used the soap yesterday and it was wonderful as always. I like the soap so much that I rarely use the cream. There's nothing wrong with the cream, I just haven't used it enough to remember how it compares to the soap.

I will use the cream tomorrow and let you know.

Both yesterday and today I used the Baume Apres Rasage (after shave balm) and highly recommend it as well. Sometimes, I even put it on after my aftershave (Clubman, Aqua Velva, Royall) dries.

Sure, that should work out fine. Thank you for going the extra mile to satisfy my curiousity.

I just got the soap yesterday, so far I'm really impressed. Clean scent and good lather. I lean more towards soaps anyway, usually a cleaner ingredient list and more old school.

Soap is excellent but I haven't tried the cream. I can only hope that the cream doesn't perform better than the soap 'cause I got my eye on some other stuff.

I have both and let me tell you, the soap is great and the cream sucks. It is had to make lather with the cream, so I am going to end up using it as a pre shave.

I have only tried the soap, but agree with every one else. The soap is great, one of the better/best non-tallow based soaps.

My most sincere apologies for the delay in my report. I didn't have time to post before I had to take off.

In short, get the soap.

I used the cream today with my Shavemac D01 and bowl lathered. The lather was very nice, but didn't seem quite as thick as with the soap. Of course, that could be the result of my lathering skills.

The shave as very good, but I believe it is a bit better with the soap.
I finished with Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Royall Spyce, and then Pre de Provence Baume Apres Rasage (ASB). Overkill perhaps, but my face feels great. Note: Putting the Baume Apres Rasage on over a scent seems to cut down the scent a bit. This is nice in my case because I tend to overscent.

Joe, I hope the soap works well for you.
