Posting Question

OK, I'm new to B&B, and to forum-ing. I know how to post a new thread and respond to a thread, but how do you make comments on other people's responses. I notice people putting other's responses in a yellow highlight them putting their own comment right below it. How do u do that? And yes, I understand I will be razzed mercilessly for asking this question... it's OK...I probably deserve it :)

Ah Ha! I've been only using the "mobile version" on my phone, which only shows a symbol for that response. I now went to "full site" which actually has a label "Reply with Quote". Yes, I feel a little stupid now, but thank you for your answers :)

Once you have the other persons 'quote' in your dialogue box you can highlight and delete sections as you wish, this is handy if you only want to quote part of someones long-winded post (we don't get any of those on B&B tho ;) as long as the [quote xxxx] and [/quote] tags are intact at the start and end the text it will work.

You may also quote more than one person in one post by hitting the button to the right of the 'reply with quote' button, it's the 'multi quote button' - just insert your own comments under each persons quote, if you are not sure, hit the 'go advanced' button at the bottom of your post and this one gives an option to pre-view how it will appear when you post it live. Hope this helps :)
