Post your custom cocktail recipe

Gentlemen,

I like to play in my bar. This results in many abominations, and a few keepers. I'll kick this thread off with my latest keeper.

In honor of the classic Vesper: I give you the "Casino Royal Gin and Tonic"

-Squeeze one wedge of lime into an old fashioned glass (drop in the wedge)
-Fill 3/4 with crushed ice
-pour to 1/2 full with Lillet
-pour to 3/4 full with favorite gin (I like Hendrick's)
-top off with tonic
-stir

enjoy!

That sounds good, I suppose Tvarski 100 and Diet Dr. Pepper wouldn't really qualify on this thread. How about an Okie Manhattan?

Favorite bourbon
sweet vermouth
no bitters
no cherry

Pour bourbon in martini glass, add ice to shaker, pour one shot of vermouth over ice, shake and strain into sink. Add bourbon to ice, shake and strain into martini glass. The reason for this version is that the liquor stores in Oklahoma are not allowed to sell anything but liquor, wine and beer, unrefrigerated. If you want a proper cocktail it usually takes two or three stops on the way home to acquire the neccessary ingredients. After two or four you don't really miss the cherry.:biggrin1:

I'm working on a "Thanksgiving themed" cocktail. So far:

1.25 oz. Laird's Apple Bond
2 oz. L&A All Cranberry Juice (very concentrated, no sugar added)
2 oz. Water
1T sugar
1/4 oz. Fresh squeezed lime juice

Dissolve sugar in cranberry juice and build over ice in an old fashioned glass.

I helped come up with the Daiquiri Caracas:

2 oz Pyrat Rum
3/4 oz Patron Citronge
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
dash of aromatic bitters
shake hard with ice, strain and serve up.

This seems too simple to be my own invention, but I tried it and liked it and have called it the Grand Bombay.

Basically a gin + tonic. Have to use Bombay Sapphire. Add a splash of Grand Marnier. = Grand Bombay. Twist of lime obviously.

I'm more of a wet gin martini, man. But for larger parties with multiple women, this one's always been a winner.

1.5 ounces gin
1 ounce Creme de Mure (Burgundian Blackberry & Honey liqueur)
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon powdered sugar
1-2 torn up sage leaves
1 egg white

Shake once without ice to emulsify the egg white with the other ingredients
Shake a second time with ice to chill
Strain into a martini glass
