hey! anyone use, or have any thoughts on the N!kon D3000? they come with a 3x zoom lens, are they a good thing? i dont know much about these, asking for someone who wants to get started in SLR cameras

I used to sell cameras for a living so I had a quick look at the specs for you.
Yeah, looks pretty impressive for the coin. I particularly liked the big screen, the auto sensor cleaning, and the lens that is listed as the kit lens has VR (image stabiliser). Obviously it is N!kons entry level camera, and you can always get more if you want to throw unlimited money at it, but for the price it seems like a good bit of kit.
