Weird, but funny. "Wilson light bulbs" is one of the best:

I (heart) Carrie Brownstein
This is new to me. Is it a TV show in the US or just on the internet?
It's a half-hour comedy sketch show on IFC (Independent Film Channel). You can watch the sketches on Youtube, purchase the first two seasons on iTunes Store.
Kakow.
I like "Portlandia" too, and after reading interviews with Fred and Carrie, it's interesting to note what they're doing: making fun of their own subculture. I think one of the reasons that the show isn't more popular is that hipsters can't imagine that anyone would make fun of their vintage clothing, fair-trade coffee, and Instagram photos. They'd much rather see Sasha Baron Cohen make jackasses out of rednecks than see their own culture parodied, even in a fairly gentle and affectionate way.
It's "cacao", by the way. Like the chocolate.

ok - I have watched the first two episodes on Netflix and they leave me with some quesitions ...
Are there really people like this? I am so sheltered
How much of this is exaggeration for the sake of humor?
Is this a regional phenomenon?
I must know more.
