Polishing a #16 Aristocrat ?

Greetings Gentlemen

As relatively still a noob I have another noob question.
I have a nice #16 Aristocrat in probably very good or above condition but with light scuff marks on the silo doors (not sure if thats the right term) the covers for the blade, the shiny bits :blushing:
My son is a jeweller and I when I was showing him what a good score it was I said apart from these light marks its actually in great shape and
he said I can get those marks out with a polisher?
I said I would have to consult the brains trust and I am not sure if this is a good idea or not.
As always appreciate your time and answers but I have no clue.

Cheers Gents !

I wouldn't worry about those little micro-scratches. Trying to buff them out may cause more damage or remove more material than you really want. In my opinion, that's a beautiful razor and I'd be happy with it exactly like it is.

Oh, and the part of the razor you're referring to is called the TTO (twist to open) doors. Silo doors works too though.
