Are these brushes worth the price? Except for a recent purchase from Rudy vey, I have not purchased any brushes since the early 90s. The high mountain white with a horn handle interest me. Your thoughts please. I only face lather. Thanks in advance. Grayson

I think that Plisson brushes aren't very good for the price point. I have a #16 in HMW with the horn handle. The one that I purchased wasn't very dense and kind of floppy due to the high loft. I was expecting soft tips but what I got was a fair bit of scritch.

They are different from the popular brushes. Lots of loft and nice through flow. I have two EWs and I imagine the HMWs are a bit softer. Pretty pricey though.
