Please help newbie identify razor

I hope this is the correct way to add new pics.

Here are the pics from after the cleaning of this frankenrazor. It cleaned up pretty well considering what kind of shape it was in. I did shave with it one morning and it was OK. I have never used a open comb before so chalk that up for why the shave was only OK. Now I will just have to keep my eye open on the B/S/T for parts to make it whole again.


I picked this up at a "antique" store today. I believe it is fat handle tech? It is covered in oil but I still want to clean it up and use it. I only paid $2.00 for it so I really don't care if some of the plating is weak. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sorry but it is a mismatch. The handle is from a Thick (fat) Tech and the head is from a New Gillette. I think for shave and also for $2 it is okay.

That's how it all starts. Now you'll be scouring the bay and the BST for a Tech Head with a NEW handle.

Actually, the handle AND the cap go to a Tech, while the guard plate is from a NEW. This will still work fine since the Tech and NEW caps are almost identical in fit and function.

This is creepy. I posted a thread just like this a few months ago about a razor almost exactly like this one and for nearly the same price!!!

I am working on cleaning it up right now. I will post pics when it is cleaned up.

Not just the logo but the four ridges in the corners. Edit: Was was thinking about my british improved, NEWs do have them too so disregard.

I worked on cleaning it up last night and am planning to try it out tomorrow morning. I will post new pics and let you know how it shaves.
