Please Help Identify, and I need some razors for it as well

Merkur Mustache Razor....this is one link to blades...among many

--EDIT--
Whooaaaa...on second look it's a Henkel...looks just like the merkur mustache and brow!!! Same blades? that I can't be certain on...

what exactly is a mustache razor? When I had a mustache, all I ever had was a nice pair or small scissors and a regular razor.

I thought it was a Merkur too when I bought it, but the guy I bought if from said that the blade style had changed. It does have the Henkel logo on the end of the handle. I tried to do a search for some blades and came up empty. All that would come up is the Merkur blades that are smaller on the back than they are on the front. These look just like a miniature DE.

Used on eyebrows and for shaping pencil-line mustaches like in the olde tyme movies. (well, 30s and 40s).

Got it, thanks all. You can still see the very occasional chap that wears a pencil thin mustache.

So Josh, are we going to get some before and after photos of that brow?

Actually, upon further inspection, I take back my agreement on that being a 'stash razor. It looks more like a women's razor (for underarms). If that's correct, the blades are no longer made. But, you might get lucky and find some vintage blades on a certain auction site or elsewhere.

Still uncertain. Fear not, someone better than I will come along and straighten this out for ya.

I'm going with women's razor. Final answer. The Merk 'stash razor looks to have a longer handle and a different shaped head.

You will get the pictures of the fuzzy cattapillar if I can find some blades. I hope I can at least get some that I can hone and strop into shape.

Dang it! It looks like this will be delagated to the collection shelf. Thanks for the information on it. I discovered more about this little razor in the past 5 minutes than all day crawling the web on Saturday. Y'all have been an immense help.

Thanks,

JoshD

But the search still goes on.....

Did you try cutting down a regular DE blade and use the center and one side hole instead of the ones on the end for centering?

Seems like a little fiddling and you could probably get a cut down DE blade to fit.

Of course, the caveat being that it's pretty hard to judge the sizes by a few snapshots, so if I'm wrong, Duìbuqî

Great thought, I had the same idea. But, the standard DE is a little wider. That was a real bummer when I got this little guy out of the bag today. Then I made this post.

Ya know? A wee dram of drambue *would* be nice right now. Thanks Phil!

I don't mean to scare anybody, but here is the offensive hair that must be dealt with.

I hope you see how dyer my situation has become.

Must.....remove.....unwanted.....eyebrow!
