Please, give me recommendations for a wallet

My current wallet I made from sheep skin, which is printed somehow to look like stingray (looks pretty neat.)

I didn't expect it to last so well, but as you say, the stitching on a wallet is the weak point. Because of this I used waxed whipping twine when I stitched it, and it has now lasted a few years with no signs of failure. Still looks and works like new.

So, for the people playing at home who do not want to build themselves a wallet from scratch, buy whatever wallet, then re-sew it with tougher thread.

I bought a Saddleback front pocket wallet and used it for a couple of months - it was durable but didn't quite do it for me. I then bought a wallet from Mascon Leather http://www.masconleather.com. Phenomenal quality and handmade with the best materials - This wallet will last me as long as I need it. Another company to check out https://ashlandleather.com. I bought the Ashland "Johnny the Fox" for my father-in-law. He loves it. Both of these companies are small operations that are easy to communicate with and work with - Mascon will even do custom orders (the owner is also a perfectionist). They both use Horween leather for their goods - very beautiful and durable.

That olive green Johnny the Foc is speaking to me.

I used a second hand Calvin Klein slim plain black leather wallet for 15yrs until my kid put it in the washing machine, pretty sure it had another 15yrs in it. I tried a few wallets after that and ended up with a Dolce & Gabbana wallet more or less the same as the Calvin Klein. I may be a little princess and the pea but sitting on a metal button and a few coins is not fun.

I've been slimming down my wallet over the past few years, not very good for the spine to be sitting on a fat wallet with one cheek frequently. The amount of crap people accumulate in their wallets and purses is wild. I'm down to a driving license, bank card and a few notes...occasionally a credit card backup, a business card or two and maybe another bank card.

Proinsias- I haven't carried one on my back pocket for 8 years or so. I got tired of having the chiropractor realign my sacrum every 3 months.
