Pipe tobacco humidifier

Anyone ever use or try one of these? Would they make a difference in a mason jar? Just curious since its so cheap i might just get some to try for any tobacco thats been dried out.

I use these all the time.
I usually have 2 to 3 blends opened at a time, and since I don't smoke very much the tobacco tends to dry out on me. I use the european equivalent of a mason jar and 1 of these soaked in water to keep everything nice and moist. Works pretty good I think. I also have some small ceramic stones which work even better.

I bought a bunch of those a while ago but cannot find them for the life of me. I'd buy more but I know as soon as I do I'll find the bag of old ones.

I have used them and found that they do work, but I have also encountered issues with them: 1) Can cause molding, 2) Can rust, and 3) Extract the sugars out of your tobacco. I have only encountered #1 a few times, but I encounter #2 and #3 a lot and have to constantly keep cleaning them off So I am switching to the Xikar Drymist systems.

I think the key is not using them too many times. Which is why I prefer to use stones like this: http://www.smokersoutletonline.com/hydrostone.html
