Pipe stem

Hi folks.

I have a Peterson where the stem had hazed and disclosures a bit. How ami to get this pipe back to the black it was before? Any tips would be helpful! Thanks!

Rub it with a Magic Eraser or some toothpaste on a cloth to remove the oxidation, the polish with olive oil.

Heard you can carefully use a bic lighter, tried it on a cheap pipe and it did the trick. But you need to be careful as it can melt the stem.

Anyone else tried this trick?

Brebbia makes a pipe and stem polish and there is a stem restoration kit available from Walkers Briar Works for more extensive restorations.
