Pipe AD for RAD

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking about jumping into straight shaving, and I just quit pipe smoking. I have posted a WTT thread on the BST board that seems reasonable enough to me, but I haven't gotten any hits. Anyone care to weigh in on whether or not I'm asking too much (anyone that knows anything about pipes that is)?

Thanks,

Well for starters you dont have the required 50 posts to buy/sell/trade. however it seems like a good deal

OK..now I feel like an idiot!

I know that I've read that before too......

I thought that you couldn't sell without 50, but apparently you can't trade either.

I always thought that was kind of cheating though....

I have been a member here for over a year, and although I don't post much, I have found this place to be very handy for good info.

So Highball...do you shave witha straight or use a pipe?

I use a straight from time to time. I have traded them all away except one. I quit smoking 5 years ago. but I still have all my pipes

Our grandfather cutoff for waiving the fifty posts minimum is October 2007.

There are folks that easily rack up five posts a day engaging in idle chat with other members, welcoming new members, commenting on a nice score, etc., etc. Making a quick five post jump to fifty in this manner is by no means cheating.

We do discourage someone creating fifty "+1" posts within ten minutes or otherwise obvious intents to got from zero to fifty in a rather artificial manner. Again, you are not in this categoty. Post saway and

Hey Scoopster,

Thanks for the reply. I'll knock up my 5 more posts and then try posting again.

I still enjoy smoking pipes, but SWMBO does not approve, so it's rare, if ever.

50 posts is nothing, sir!

So, have you been a Yankees fan your whole life?

No...I haven't. I started following them in the late 90's. I kind of liked them, but I was actually a bigger Mariners fan (they're the local team). Then September 11th happened. At that point not only did New York become America's City, the Yankees became America's team. Watching how they dealt with the loss, made me a serious fan.

Health reasons. I'm already fairly "girthy" and out of shape. I have a buddy who is right now on his last legs fighting throat cancer. He's probably going to go in the next month or so.

That being said...I thought living might be better than smoking.

Well, if you're not alive, you can't rightly smoke either.

Give up one, or give up both, as it were.

One more question. What's your favorite color?

You are so funny! Thanks for asking all the questions...

For the record my favorite color is (of course) Yankee Blue......

Thanks again!

Thanks man.....ok...so I have a couple of questions for you....

Do you prefer your Merkur over you SS?

What do you think of Bob Knight?
