Pink Ivory?

Well I Just finished looking at the gorgeous Buddel straight he posted up on here. So naturally I had a look at his site and discovered a razor with "pink Ivory" scales and this has piqued my curiosity as I have never heard of this material and thus would like to know how one comes by pink Ivory?

Pink Ivory is an African wood IIRC... not actually an 'ivory'.
