Pinaud Vanilla causing me to sneeze

I am not the best in understanding ingredients and knowing what they do etc...let me just say that first.

Would anyone know any ingredient in Pinaud Vanilla that would cause me to basically sneeze a lot for about 15-30 minutes after putting it on my face? It seems that Pinaud is 2/2 for making my sneeze (meaning, I used it twice and I had the same sneezing effect two times). I love the stuff and a friend of mine recently PIF'd it to me, so I definitely don't want to stop using it; but, I may have to. Obviously, I didn't know I had some type of allergy to something inside, otherwise I would not have accepted this item for him. I am not allergic to anything so this is really shocking that I have this problem.

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks gents,
Mike

Wow! World of difference between vanilla and regular.

Pinaud Clubman: SD alcohol 40, water, fragrance, yellow 5, red 33, green 5

Classic Vanilla: SD alcohol 40, water, fragrance, benzyl benzoate, citronellol, coumarin, eugenol, geranial, hexyl cinnamal, hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxyldehyde [sup]1[/sup], limonene, linalool, yellow 5.

1. HICC (hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxyldehyde) has for more than 10 years been recognized as an important contact allergen in humans with more cases of contact allergy documented in the scientific literature than for any other fragrance chemical in this period. HICC has been shown to be a significant cause of disease as many of those with contact allergy to HICC also had reactions to cosmetics, which contained or were likely to contain HICC. pdf

Wow, SiBurning, thanks for your killer response. Who knew there was so much of a difference in the two?! I will have to try the regular Pinaud Clubman and see if that makes a difference. I really appreciate your awesome response here!

IMHO this stuff is far too strong to be used as an aftershave... use only a little dab and then maybe your nose won't panic.

You're right about drops only. I treat the Vanilla like 100$+ Edt. Applied by dabs on the fingers. Strong, but pretty classy in my books.

Never knew that, thanks for the education, Steve!

Thank you for the advice, everyone! I will definitely lighten up on the Pinaud and see how that changes things!
