I actually found it more difficult to take the blades out rather than load them. I'm not sure I would have liked having the magnet personally.

Good to know.

I've never had any issue with blade alignment but I have to be careful that I hold the razor upright while tightening the cap.

I'm going to try wetting the blade next time to give it some "stiction". The film of water may help secure the blade onto the plate unti it's tight.
