Perma Sharp Blades.Interesting.

Not open the door to the typical YMMV responses, but the Perma Sharp (Russian made) blades are interesting. I can't decided if I love them or if they potentially could be too much for me. I've read a number of old threads with similar thoughts that I'm having.

1. Yesterday on my first couple passes, I felt like the blade dragged more than providing a clean smooth pass.
2. Today I felt like my first couple passes went as planned and BBS/DFS throughout.

But I did get a little careless on my neck and the more aggressiveness nature of the blade got me a little. I'm thinking this blade could be up there with some of the Personnas, Feathers, Gillette 7 O's. Any newer DE Shavers? Put this on your list to try.

Any thoughts on this going into the New Year?

I've read that some blades feel better on subsequent shaves after the first, so you might be on to something.

Personally, I prefer blades that are good from stroke one.

Lol Teddyboy! I'm guessing that it'll be up there with some of my favs. I am stuck on Red Personnas lately and jumping out to Perma Sharps was tough.

Finished shave #3 today with Perma Sharp. Very sharp blade, right up there with Feather IMO and have used a lot of Feathers over the years. This blade is different in that, to me, it's getting smoother? Changed up my prep today. Used Dr. Jon's Hydra along with Trumpers Lime Skin Food today on all 3 passes. Wow, it worked well with no irritation at all and took a lot of the abrasiveness away. The first 2 shaves with this blade were real good and close. Concern was they were more abrasive than what I'm used to. Think I unlocked the secret for myself in the prep. Very enjoyable BBS shave with Perma Sharp. Want to get 2 more shaves out of this blade of the same quality so I can make a bulk purchase. Like 'em!
