Perhaps as natural as it gets!!

The way he shaves would make my face look really bad. I even checked to see if there was a blade in his razor! :confused1

His facial expressions don't convince me of a comfortable shave.
That's what I was thinking. I can be convinced it works for him if it at least looks a little comfortable but he looked like he was it pain. Hope it works for him but that was sort of grimace inducing to watch.

Aloe is really great stuff. He cut off a heck of a lot of it for his shave. I have absolutely no problem believing he got a decent shave.

And what would be the advantage of doing this as opposed to MWF or Trumpers?

Well, the advantages would be that he is creating 0 waste (other than the blades, which can serve other purposes), aloe vera is a great skin healer and protector, he isn't putting any harmful chemicals or preservatives on his face, and the aloe vera plant itself helps remove toxins from the atmosphere.:thumbup1:

Some negatives would be that, although aloe vera could give a nice slide to the razor, it will not provide as much cushion and slickness for the blade:ohmy:

Wouldn't it be more "natural" not to shave at all? There would be no polluting manufacturing process for ther razor, or the plastic cup he uses to hold the aloe, no disposal of blades etc etc.

Just for information - I use a lot of different shave soaps and creams and I don't put harmful chemicals on my face either.

Remember - not all things "Natural" are good, and not all things "Chemical" are bad.

I see why they call you Mr. "Perspective."

I don't have access to a plant either, but I might pick up some 100 % aloe gel sometime and give it a try:001_tongu

I've used a fresh-cut aloe plant on my sunburn before, and the juice is very slick and goopy, very lubricating. I can see how it could be used as a shaving medium, although I don't think I'd want to use it that way. Irrespective of its healing properties, aloe gel possesses virtually none of the lubricity of the fresh plant, so you would probably end up butchering yourself if you tried shaving with it; at the very least, I think the gel would give no indication of what it would be like to shave with fresh aloe.
