What's new

Perfect Timing

Not! :001_cool:

Last week I ordered my Christmas gift from my wife (easier for me to order what I want rather than explain it to her) from The Superior Shave. Although I had never dealt with Jarrod before, they were the first vendor whom I found that had both of the brushes that I was looking for "In Stock". A package arrived this morning (super-fast service and delivery) and I hurriedly opened it (with the blessing of SWMBO, of course).
My problem is that I have committed to using my Duke2 for a couple of weeks whilst helping out in the newest instalment of "The Brush Chronicles". Meanwhile these two new darlings sit unloved on the shelf...........

I also tossed a cool travel tube in my order and it will be a fantastic option for those of you who prefer to travel with a larger brush.

I'm really looking forward to being able to try these new brushes out in a couple of weeks' time. And Bob....... the Classic2 is all hair and no handle! It looks like an absolute beast :biggrin1:

"Got Shoes?"
Seriously, if those were the only two brushes I owned, I would be a happy guy.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I have the other 12.

Interesting that the "Simpson" label is on one side of the Classic 2 while the engraving is on the other side.

My label and engraving on my Classic 2 is on the same side. Hmmmm....

Conspiracy? Perhaps. :tongue_sm

David, the knot on your new Classic 2 looks wonderful. I hope, after a few lathers, you will put up a photo of the bloomed knot alongside this photo of the virgin brush. With a knot width more than half the loft height, that looks like a serious face machine.

I'm truly sorry prior engagements prohibit you from using your brand new Tulip and Classic... Right! The kind of problem we all wish for.

Thanks Gentlemen for the kind words. I have lathered both of the new arrivals in an effort to start ridding them of the normal "wet badger" nastiness and the Classic is starting to take on a rough and tumble look! I will certainly come back with more comparison shots when they are in use.

Same here Bob- I could happily live with these two new additions (or perhaps the Eagle instead of Dugle because of the group buy significance) and shave wonderfully for the rest of my life.
Very interesting that your C2 is labelled differently to mine- definitely a conspiracy (well, maybe :confused1)

Great acquisitions! That Classic does look tempting...

Thanks Hunter. I'm sure that it will be a lot of fun- I will get around to doing a review when we are finished with the Duke2! Bob (johnniegold) has already posted since receiving his brush and it looks fantastic.
