Penhaligons English Fern

I had recently acquired several samples from Penhaligons. I loved all three of the scents they sent me. I was given Opus (great scent), Castile (love it), English Fern (loved it so much I bought a 100ml bottle). I actually want to pull the trigger on Castile but am going to wait til the end of October since it will be my birthday this month and the wife might pick it up for me.

Anyway, English Fern was like nothing I ever smelled. It was like love at first smell. I opened the bottle dabbed some on and knew it wasn't long before I owned a bottle.

I still have (I believe) a quarter of the sample bottle if anyone is interested in trying some English Fern I can send the rest of my sample bottle. There should be enough in the bottle for a couple more uses.

Now I have to contact Pen and have them send me some more samples. It's in their best interest. I'm a sucker for good juice. Let me know of anyone is interested in the small amount of sample I have left.

I love English Fern EDT, it's my favorite scent. The nice thing about it is that it just leaves me with a clean/refreshed feeling all day long.

This is also my favorite Pen's scent. It's great. In fact, of the ones I tried it's the only one I did (also gave Blenheim Bouquet a shot, wanted to like it but didn't; in addition to Hammam Bouquet).

I would recommend waiting until spring for Castile now. It COULD work in cool weather, but it excels in warm weather. I suggest you call Penhaligons and request another batch of samples... and for the cool weather in particular, try Endymion. You've tried Opus, and you should also consider Racquets and LP No.9.

I couldn't agree more! I say it all the time - A sample should be an ENTICEMENT to buy something! Some sales associates act like samples are a highly coveted reward for making a purchase. They've got it backwards!

The only Pen's scent I like better than English Fern is Castile. Enjoy!

Thanks for the suggestions and recommendations. I will have to some samples of these other scents before pulling the trigger on Castile.

The English Fern sample has been claimed. I will be sending it out to the recipient as soon as I get the address.
