Pencil Mustache?

How on earth did people trim and shave those pencil mustaches back in the day?

Must be a straight. No way you could do that with a DE and keep things even IMO.

Pretty easy with a straight - after Movember I played around with mine before shaving it off and did a little pencil jobby for fun. You can see each hair before you cut it, not like a DE.<br>but then again there may be a clue in the name - they were just drawn on with a makeup pencil!!!&nbsp;

Not hard to do this with a straight. However, I think that these two guys went to the barber and did not shave themselves.
