i was given a Parker vector by a friend at work, the problem is the nib is bad, a tine is actually missing. is there replacements out there or am i SOL? this of coarse explains why he thought it was scratchy and didnt write very well.....
Sadly, it's not worth fixing. You can find NOS and used examples on ebay, though, if you want a new nib/section for it. They're actually decent little pens, and I really like mine. A red plastic Parker Vector was my first fountain pen, and I still have it.
That nib/feed is friction fit, so you can cannibalize a cheap plastic Vector for parts. See here. The plastic and metal pens should use the same nib/feed.
