Wow. Well. Afterall there are some good sellers on ebay. I can't believe it. Here I was, typing out a long detailed post on a pen that I won, and this lady messages me and due to her lacking knowledge on the pen, she wanted to refund me the full purchase price and let me keep the pen!
Long story short, I bid on a cheap Vacumatic online. After I had won it, members here told me that it was a mismatched cap. Technically no big deal as I planned on making this an every day pen so I did not need anything in pristine condition. To my surprise, the pen inked up immediately and began writing instantly. I didn't even need to soak it in water.
I messaged the lady just informing her that the cap was wrong. I was still planning on keeping the pen as I was only $20 in it, and hey it wrote didn't it? But no, she responded asking me to approve her request to cancel and told me she doesn't want the pen back. She is definitely in my favorite sellers list. I am still trying to convince her to take some money for it as I don't feel right getting a free pen. It's almost as if I stole it from her. Anyways, here is a picture of the writing. I know my penmanship is pretty bad so don't be too harsh. But try to tell me about the nib and if everything else seems to be in working order. Thanks a lot.
Judging by her other for sale items she is someone who frequents garage and estate sales. There are still some Nib related items in there. Since I am sure this is against the rules somewhere, I will not post her username. However, if anyone asks in a PM I will point you in the right direction.
