Parker 96r

Hi newbie here, I just got my 96r and am using the blades that camewith it(sharks). Dose anyone have a suggestion gfor a good blade for this razor? I have a med beard and use a pure bader brush andjust started with conk glycerine soap but will upgrade soon.

Hi chefman, welcome to b+b.

I had a 96r and really enjoyed it...but it was, and remains, the most aggressive razor I've ever used (more blade exposure, cuts closer...too close if you're not careful.)

As such---and this is just opinion--I would avoid Feathers and Iridiums until you have shaved with it a while. Good blades might include Derby's or Red Personna's.

There are a million others. Parkers can be hit-and-miss, so you might find your razor very mild. I think I jumped to mention all this because the 96 was the only razor I cut myself with, and each time was a doozy.
