CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J. -- American Safety Razor Company ("ASR") announced today that, in its lawsuit against Pace Shave Incorporated ("Pace Shave") and Dorco, USA, Inc. ("Dorco") pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Pace Shave and Dorco filed documents stating that they are taking corrective action to remove ASR patent numbers from razor blade products manufactured by Pace Shave. In its documents filed on October 15, 2007, Pace Shave stated that it has hired a company to go into more than 1400 retail stores to place stickers over erroneous patent number references found on products distributed by Pace Shave and made by its overseas manufacturer. This corrective action comes in response to ASR's allegations that Pace Shave and Dorco placed patent numbers associated with ASR patents on their razor blade products.

Pace Shave further stated that it took action "to destroy the remaining artwork and all printing plates for the original artwork...." Also, it asserted that it halted shipment of the mislabeled razor blade products until it had new packaging that did not contain the patent numbers.

ASR's lawsuit had sought immediate injunctive relief to stop Pace Shave and Dorco from falsely marking packaging with statements that its products are covered by American Safety Razor Company's patents. The lawsuit also seeks corrective advertising and the recovery of damages from Pace Shave and Dorco for false marking, false advertising, unfair competition, patent infringement and copyright infringement.

If they're actually Dorco 300 or 301 blades, they're not horrible though many of us, myself included, have other blades we'd select before the Dorcos.

If they're a different species, all bets are off with me. Insufficient data!

No pig-in-a-poke for me these days! I've learned too much since I started experimenting for myself and reading the wealth of information in these threads.
