I tried Osage last night and it was a menthol blast to say the least! 
I can definitely say that this something I will continue to keep in the rotation.

Isn't it great? Wait till you use it on a really hot day!
I especially like to use it on my freshly shaven head.
Funny, I splashed some Osage on the oterh day, and I thought that Alt-Innsbruck was colder. Was it just me, or am I off my rocker?
I like to rub it on my chest when I have a cold because it's cheaper than Vicks Vap-o-rub!

Last night was just a typical muggy and hot night for Dallas, TX at this time of year. This stuff was way intense. I initially couldn't keep my eyes open due to the menthol vapor erupting from my face! Once it settled down the FREEZE came on and man.... life was cool and frosty on my face. I literally felt like i was standing in front of my freezer with the door open. Good stuff! Can't wait to try Osage after a Proraso shave!
I don't think you are! About a year ago every bottle of AV just wasn't chilling my face out any more. Now, I have a whole bunch, and the bottle I am using provides only a little chill. Either my face doesn't accept the feeling anymore, or something else is going on....
As of this week I'm a newbie to Osage rub, too. So far I'm enjoying it.
A menthol bomb. I have to be careful; I like to apply before bed without shaving.
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced "Oh-sage" (like "Oh, the-spice-that-goes-well-with-poultry", but with the accent on the Oh).

Had to do a quick shave yesterday and hence the lather was terrible. I suffered from razor burn and oh my GOD.....OSAGE burns like the fires of hell on your face if you have razor burn!!!!! LET me repeat that...OSAGE burns like the fires of hell on your face if you have razor burn!!!!!
Then of course the cooling sets in when the fire sting subsides....but WOW it lit me up bad to the point of tears.
Be carefull with Osage especially after a rough shave.

almost anything will do that if the shave was bad. hence the wonderful menthol!
I like menthol, A LOT! Using pure menthol crystals, I make a menthol concentrate that I add to soap, cream, aftershave, etc. to add the cooling affect of menthol. I even add menthol to products that already contain menthol because I like heavy menthol. All of this to say that, as a serious menthol junkie, I don't find that Osage is all that cool. Yes, I get a cool flash, then the sensation that lingers is almost one of warmth. Osage reminds me of Vick's Vapor Rub. It has a cooling component, but, to me, it doesn't offer the lingering cooling affect of most other menthol products.
