Ordered some new blades

Hey gents. Im fairly new to wetshaving. Been at it for about 7 months now. Trying to pick out a blade that is best for me so I decided to stop being cheap and order a few packs online. I ordered some Feathers, Astras, and some Crystals AKA Israeli Personnas. The only blades ive tried were the Wilkinson Sword from Wally World, Merkurs, Derbys, and Astras(hence that is why i ordered some more because i loved them). Ive also use the Gillette blues which i also liked. What can i expect from the Feathers and Crystals? Just like to hear some thoughts. Thanks gents!!

P.S. I know Feathers are suppose to be the sharpest or one of the sharpest blades. Thats why i ordered a pack.

Have not tried feathers as I settled on ASTRA SP and am satisfied with them, feathers are sharp and very well thought of here

Blades are usually quite different for each shaver. One members best could prove not so good for you, and someone's worst could just prove to be your top of the line. The best thing you can do is to try each different blade and find your own best. As for the Feather's, most like them, but there are those that find the Feathers are no good for them. With blades its for sure YMMV.

Just switched from Feathers to Astras today. I like the Feathers and when I near the end of my sampler I will order more and keep them as part of whatever rotation I develop.

That said ---- go easy with the Feathers. My first blades were Derbys. They were a good transition from the cart, but when I moved to the Feathers I had to learn to go with zero pressure. My advice is to take it slow, get a good lather, and watch the pressure. You may have to do a 3 or 4 pass to get the shave you want, but it'll be worth it.

I Think you did great in your selection of blades.
when I started I ordered a pack of Astras, Israeli Crystals, And Personna Lab blues. (you should try those also, they are good)
By the way, What kind of razor do you use?
