Order from Rorshuck's Badger Decants

Has anyone here ordered from this site? I placed a small order a week ago (would have been larger but the site spooked me and I wanted to try one order first) and rec'd a canned email confirm but no ship info.
I emailed twice for a follow up but got no response.
It seems to be a test site and the prices are almost too good to be true.
Should i be worried?????

He use to be very realiable but not long ago we heard nothing from him from people that placed orders. So the mods banned him on B&B. Better cancel and stop payment on paypal etc etc etc.....

Sorry for the news.

Thanks. Fortunately the order was only a bit over $10 (i would have ordered twice that but I didn't feel comfortable).
I will give him another day to respond and then file a complaint with Paypal.

since I'm a new guy and dont know much I may be confused but I thought it was illegal to sell 'decants' or is it just that the 'houses' frown on it?

I've heard that it's the houses that don't approve since it obviously takes away from their sales.
I know of someone that got in trouble on ebay with that and was banned for 30 days.

Some houses don't like it, some realize it helps create new customers and tacitly encourage it. I've never seen a definitive answer on the legality of decants, but there are still several companies openly offering the service so it can't be all that clear cut.

a very murky area. Sometimes it just hard to get samples to get try the juice which was one reason I would order 1ml decants. From the decant I bought a few of them. So who really wins?

I don't know about his history, but he has a thing on his home page that says he is down for a couple weeks due to a death in the family.

It breaks my heart, because it was not always so. But those days are long, long past.

Gruder is exactly right:

"I recommend avoiding this vendor."

When I first got interested in frags, Badger Decants was a big help to me. Chuck also pointed me to some on-line vendors that were able to hook me up with things that he couldn't get, including a flacon of Vintage Tabarome before it vanished into Creed's Parisian crypts. Unfortunately, something went off track and things turned out the way they are now.

However, there are lots of other sources for decants. The Perfumed Court is a great source, although a bit pricey. You can also search Basenotes for reliable vendors. Also, if you have something in particular you want to try, why not post on the BST?

I filed a complaint with PayPal and they tried to contact him with no response. Bottom line-I got my money back.
A valuable lesson learned-CHECK HERE AT BADGER BLADE BEFORE ORDERING FROM ONLINE VENDORS!!

Strictly, it probably depends on your country, but at least in the US that would appear to be covered under Right of First Sale, so I'd imagine it'd be legal, but IANAL.

I would love to see a law review article on this! I am very curious about the legal status of decants. I would think that framing things as splits might make things more legit, if there are issues. TINLA
