Options for an Indestructible BP Pen?

I need some help from the ink absorbed brethren of B&B. Background: I work in a pretty rough manufacturing/field testing environment and am constantly taking notes in a dirty environment. I have been using the Zebra F-701 pens for a while now but I have only had one survive long enough to change the cartridge. I usually bend the casing or rip the pocket clip out before I even run out of ink. The most recent one lost the clip this morning so I am now on the hunt to find something that might survive bit longer. I have looked at the Surefire pens in the past but the reviews are marginal and I'm not sure I can justify a $120 pen to SWMBO even if it is for work. So, I open it up to the Nib. Suggestions, advice, keep buying cheap pens?

Must Be:
-metal of some form (the more the better, solid would be preferred)
-ball point of some form
-click or twist type (I'll lose a cap the first day)
-able to find refills locally
-not so expensive that I'll vomit if I drive a machine over it

If I were likely to get it crushed or lost, I'd just go for something cheap. I personally rather like the house gel pens at Staples. Buy one of those clear plastic drums of them and don't worry if they get lost or damaged. Short of a tactical pen, nothing is going to stand up to serious abuse and perform well.

I vote for Nids recomendation as well. Doesn't sound like taking a nice pen to work is a good idea for you go cheap and gets lots
