open comb ?

I have a gillette 1930 open comb and the cap was brassing so I put my cap on from my Tech razor and it seems to fit anyone else try this before ?

I have noticed that before. I was just curious because they looked interchangeable. Both have the bar that fits into the blade guard. We're talking about the New and the Tech heads. I have never had cause to swap them though. I have a couple New razors with no plating. I just polish the brass or copper base metal and use it that way.
