Online Tea Vendors in the UK

Here's what I've found so far:

Jing Tea
The Essence of Tea
Canton Tea Co.
Teanamu Tea Shop
Postcard Teas
Nothing but Tea
Wan Ling Tea House

Does anyone know of others? As of today, I have only ordered from Jing Tea, and I'm very happy with my order. (I'll be adding to the list above as members make recommendations.)

Does anyone know where to purchase an inexpensive yixing (or yixing-type) pot in the UK? Joel was, at one point, reviewing a $12 pot he had found. That's the sort of budget I have. I'd also be fine with ordering from the US for that price, so if someone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
-Andy

Hi Andy,

I have an online tea shop in the UK.

I've also got some cheap Yixing sitting around upstairs that I never put on to the website. Should be able to find you something nice for <£20 if you're interested.

best wishes,
David.

Thanks David. That may be a good option. I haven't decided whether to purchase a gaiwan or yixing (or neither). I'm currently using a coffee press to brew, then transfer to a 2 cup tea pot for serving. My first 2 puerh teas arrived this week, so I'm not yet sure if I'll enjoy puerh. I drink white, green and oolong teas, though.

p.s. - I really like the look of the Chen Qi Nan cups on your website.

Nothing but Tea has a huge selection of teas. I ordered their black tea sampler last year, around 30 samples, and tried some really nice teas I'd never even heard of - stuff from Bolivia and the like.

Wan Ling is another that might be worth adding. I've heard some great reviews but have not yet bought from them. They spe......e in tgy and once my wallet has recovered from my aged oolong binge I'll be stocking up on some tgy from them.

I can personally vouch for David at essenceoftea.com. David is very profesional and a great guy with whom to conduct business.

I can now say the same. I'll be placing my next oolong order with David. I would also recommend that anyone searching for tea ware in the UK contact David via email or PM, as he has some (possibly a lot of) items that aren't yet listed on the essenceoftea.com website.

Update: I ended up purchasing a lovely gaiwan and glass serving jug, per David's recommendation, and I couldn't be happier. This is a great setup. He even included some small cups to complete my set, as well as some oolong samples (the very 2 I was planning to order when my current supply runs low... ESP?). Thanks for everything, David.

Nada is extremely well-respected in the online tea world. You cannot go wrong dealing with him or listening to his advice.

He is also very humble and would never say such things himself.

Thanks for participating here, David! :thumbup1:
