Omega Pro 48 or 31064

So I'm very curious between these two brushes. I heard is awesome at lathering is used by professionals. The 48 Pro seems to be very attractive b/c of the price, but then I really like the Omega 31064. This guy on youtube

says the 31064 have thicker bristles. So I'm still boggled between the two. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Given it's still a very affordable brush, I'd spring for the 31064. Way nicer handle, and ostensibly better hair.

You really can't go wrong with either brush - so just buy the one you like the best. The main difference is the loft - the 48 has got a higher loft and some folks find it a bit long for face lathering, but that's exactly how I use it with no complaints.

If you prefer face lathering take the 31064.
If you prefer lathering in a mug/scuttle take the 31064 or the pro.
But you better take both of them ..

I use both in my regular rotation with the 48 having been my first foray into the world of boar hair. It's a solid, nice brush with a large, simple, commercial grade plastic chromed handle. Think large and untilitarian here. The long loft, coupled with boar's inherent backbone provides for a somewhat stiff, but springy face lathering. The secret sauce -I love mixed metaphors-however, is in the incredibly soft hair tips that develop split ends and grow even softer with each use and dry down. Some claim to hasten the process by drying their boar hair brush with a hair dryer, but I've not felt the need. This is the break in period until they all the hairs split and the brush goes on to become an instrument for an incomprably soft, Nirvana-like shave experience. I consider the 48 the cornerstone of my boar collection. The handsome black and clear acrylic 31064 has slightly less backbone, but boasts luxuriously soft tips practically right out of the box. One reputable vendor refers to it as the brush of choice among the Board Illuminati, and I could believe that based upon my experience with it. I believe the 48 is a great introductory brush for someone new to boar hair followed by the more expensive 31064 later if you decide to expand. Whatever your move, you may discover that you prefer boar to even high end badger as I have. Good luck!

Well I guess getting both won't hurt. I'll try one first then order the other. Thank you all for the input.
