Omega no. 42 Premium shave brush

I picked up this brush on the premise that this would be an Omega shave brush I wouldn't feel needed to be re-handled.
My thoughts so far are that I am liking what I see and feel.

Here are the specifications:

Omega No.42. Pure bristle shaving brush with an ivory, solid resin handle.
Handle: 74 mm x 39 mm x 39 mm.
Knot (at base): 26 mm. Loft: 59 mm

Here it is pictured next to a Semogue SOC Ash and a vintage handle with an Omega # 10098 knot

That looks cool. I'm looking forward to hearing some of your thoughts after putting the brush through it's paces. It is my experience that Omegas perform pretty well straight out of the box.

So 3 weeks after, how does the 42 stack up?

I would be interested in knowing how you like the brush also. I much prefer Omega knots to Semogue, as I find them to be more compact and have more backbone. I also have re-handled every Omega boar I have, as I find the vast majority of their handles to cheap with poor hand feel. How do you like the resin handle and how does it compare to a quality acrylic solid handle?
