Omega EVO knots vs new Elite knots - anyone have both?

The Lather Maestro
Have become aware of the new Omega Elite synthetic brushes and their EVO line is well regarded. Curious of anyone has both and has made a comparison?

Now I'm not sure they are even different knots. EVO and Elite may refer to the handles?? I'm just getting into this premium synthetic game.

I can't really offer much advice. I only have the Elite synth and I love it.
Same here. I LOVE my Omega Vintage Edition Elite entirely... :001_wub:

Of the three...Muhle's STF remains at the top of the heap. But...either the EVO or Shavemac are snapping at its heels. Gonna have to check out an Elite.

Sorry, I only have the original EVO. It’s a nice brush if you love backbone. It’s a touch too much (something I never thought I’d say) for me as I have a difficult time keeping it splayed on my neck. But still a nice brush.

I've got the first gen Evo knot and the Elite. Both are good but I think quite different in character. The Evo is very much a synth knot; similar but not the same as an STF, so soft and whips up lather very quickly. The Elite has more face feel and takes a bit more work to create a good lather, so somewhat like badger in that respect.

I was going to pick up an Elite but they ran out of the handle Marco has: the 1920 Classic... That's the only handle that appeals to me.. What a beautiful handle/brush.

I would guess, if I looked around a bit I could find one at a higher price... but I'm getting Rudy to make me a brush soon....

That's the one I've got. Rasoigoodfellas has it in stock, as long as you look under Brands rather than do the obviouis and search in the shaving brush section.

Is the Elite anything like the G5C?
