Omega Bambino

I was looking for a smaller than average boar brush and ordered a Bambino. When it arrived I was mildly shocked at how small it is (just a shade bigger than the Wee Scot). I know it must work, but I would think there must be some kind of technique adjustment. Anyone have advice on how to successfully use it?

Thanks . . .

I got my Wee Scot strictly for face lathering sticks when we travel, maybe this is the same type of situation, not sure as I don't own a boar at this time. I rub the stick on a wet face shake out the brush and have at it and add a touch of water as needed. Let us know how it works out

I have been using a bambino as a travel brush for months and, once broken in, it's fantastic. Rvshave is spot on. Don't forget to soak it for a few minutes first. Once mine broke in (just half a dozen shaves or so), I was amazed at how much lather it held on to. Enough for a three-pass shave (you will need to keep adding tiny buts of water from time to time. I just dip the tips of the bristles in water).

So you have the Mighty Midget! It's a tiny handle with a normal size knot. Great travel brush. I don't use any special technique with it. The tiny handle takes some getting used to but it's a great little brush.

I have a Wee Scot and a mighty midget. As for lathering ability, they are both great (I face lather). The grip is what takes a little while to get used to. Some love it, some hate.

In the winter I grow a beard and this is my go to brush. Keep it wet as others have stated. It doesn't hold much water. I don't use it to face lather but use it in a shallow bowl. Find a cream that lathers easily for you. I use about half the cream I would for a larger brush. Proraso or TOBS work for me. You need to pump the brush while you work a lather. Don't pump to hard, maybe 1/2" or so. Add water as you need to while working the lather.

As for soap I keep the brush wet and don't wring it out. I primarily use it with MWF. I keep the face of the soap very wet and pump the the brush up and down while working the lather. Then I work the lather in a shallow bowl adding water as necessary.

I don't have much information for you about face lathering as I can't remember using it that way. I am sure that I have I just don't remember.

I don't have the Bambino, but I have it's slightly larger brother, the Mighty Midget, and it's been a great brush. I use it both at home and while traveling.

I have a mighty midget and I love the little fella. Works great with sticks and is perfect for travel! Though I don't know how much smaller I could go.

Forgot to mention that it takes about a week or so to break in. Once broken in it will splay very nicely and paints very well.
