Old Spice soap in a mug

I have some vintage williams. Its from the 60s, so its the old formula. Any scent it once had is now gone, but its still a good soap and lathers amazingly. All you would get out of an old puck of OS is performance, not really scent. If you want a good shave and the scent of old spice, I was recently turned on to Van Der Spice. melting a puck a VDH in the microwave and then splashing old spice AS into the mix. Works well and looks great in my old spice mug that I got for $10 off the bay.

Total spent was about $15 including the mug, Classic scent AS, and 2 pucks of VDH. That sure beats an $80 puck that's 30 years old and lost most, if not all of it's scent.

Trying this tonight, assuming I can snag VDH from Wal-Mart.

Yessir, usually about $1.50-$2 a puck. And the classic aftershave is the old scent brought back after its reformulation supposedly. Add more than you think you need to the soap. It will smell stronger when you add it to the warm liquid soap, but tones down when it hardens. I put about a quarter of the small bottle in, I used two pucks of VDH. I got the AS on sale for like $3. If you didn't add enough the first time, it's safe to melt it again and add more. I microwaved it for 10 seconds, stir, and then another 10 etc until melted.
