I recently got OS shave mug from ebay for my son. However when i got it, its small. Is this how they all are or did i get a something else? Says made in Belgium on bottom. I was looking for one the size of the COL Conk large mug, disappointed.

Pic or diameter? Mine (from early sixties I think) is maybe a half inch larger than a Col. Conk puck if that helps. Made in Belgium is cool though.

More info from that site shows that the majority (including the Belgian mugs) measure "4.5 inches from rim to handle". So it's normal.

I have had two or three OS mugs that size and still have one. I like the size; you can use a smaller knot easily in a mug this size. give it a try for a while; if it is not working out for you there is always the B/S/T for a sale or trade.
I have several mugs, but Old Spice mugs are the only ones I have several of.
It is far and away the most versatile mug, able to accommodate the widest range of brush sizes. Even though I prefer larger mugs for my larger brushes, even they work just fine in an Old Spice mug. It's big enough in diameter and short enough to keep from clanking the sides.

Not food size reference. It it what had at the time. Just moved into new barracks room.
That is pretty standard and has the ridges for better lathering. They work just fine. The blue mugs made in 1985 are wider and deeper. They show up on the bay once in a while.
Looks like from the 70's (http://www.oldspicecollectibles.com/Mugs/American%20Glass.html) The ridges are to hold the puck firmly in place.
