ok--bay rum question

i have loads of bay rums and noticed on a bottle of royal bay rhum is states that it is recommended by gentleman for a "headwash". my sister recently was in the virgin islands and brought me a bottle of "west indies bay rum". i think this is the same stuff as captain smiths island spice with a different label. it also lists "headwash" as one of the uses for the product. anyone know what the heck they are talking about?? are you supposed to waste this magic elixir dumping it on your head in the shower??? especially the royall brand, at 35 bucks a bottle it seems a bit pricey to use that way.

Bay Rum is a good hair tonic. Rub it on your scalp after a shower or in between showers/shampoos to remove loose dandruff.
