What's new

Oh dear, what did I buy?

I was cruising eBay for a new vintage DE razor, and I stumbled across a Henckels DE. I was very excited, I'd never seen one, and as far as vintage razors go, this one looked like a fine specimen. Unfortunately, I should have done some research. The thing is tiny!

I've posted pics of it next to my Merkur 1906 (which is also, not a particularly large razor either). Perhaps someone can tell me what this is, and better - where to get additional blades for it. It came with 5 blades still wrapped in the wax paper.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I think you're going to have to grow some corns on your feet to take full advantage of that impliment. Maybe a pencil thin moustache like Clark Gable would do if you don't want corns.

I think you're absolutely correct. I was hoping it was more like "mustache razor" or something. I don't think I want this anywhere near my face. What a shame. It's a Henckels, and for its age, it looks absolutely brand new.

It is a corn razor but you can use it as a trim or mustache razor if you find it easier to maneuver then a standard sized razor.

Mustache razors are typically narrower and have different width sides.

here is a pic of a Japanese mustache razor I had for a while

Indeed, as others stated, it's a corn razor. I made the same mistake on ebay. I wish I could sell mine.
