Ecclectic perfumer Angelo Orazio Pregoni has created the super niche perfume line O'Driu that creates very high end small-batch perfumes with limited quantities sometimes as little as four lone bottles. Notes listed for perfumes often contain quirky accords described as "the hug of a woman," "the degree of suffering with which a woman punishes who she loves," and "echo of dead leaves."
I've been reading some amazing reviews of his work including a few that have been off-beat such as this one by the Sorcery of Scent. Those who bear witness to their experiences under the influence of O'Driu often go to great lengths to describe the many memories and emotions exposed by the multiple facets of the perfume and seldom does a review of an O'Driu fragrance take fewer than a couple paragraphs.
In short, I'm remarkably impressed by what I've read and overwhelmingly intrigued even if they are at times unabashedly libertine - only to be kept at bay by the prohibitively expensive prices. I'll find a way around that, I assure you.
I was wondering if anyone else has had the luxury of trying any of these and if so what were your overall impressions.
