Non Alcohol Aftershaves

Hello everyone I am new to the forum and to wet shaving. I want to get away from alcohol when using aftershave and would like to know some of the better ones.

You could try using an alum block. When I use my alum block I put a bit of Proraso Pre/Post cream on after I rinse the alum off my face.

I just got some Lucky Tiger Aftershave and Face Tonic for Christmas, and I found it very nice indeed. No alcohol, but lots of face goodies: aloe, calendula, chamomile and the uncommonly-found borage oil (a superior source of skin-pampering GLA). It splashes on with a bright citrus scent that dissipates in minutes, but the soothing and healing go on and on. Although I didn't buy it, I've priced it before and it seems an excellent value.

Some of my favourites:

Proraso ASB
Musgo Real ASB (my favourite of all!)
L'Occitane Cade
L'Occitane Eau de Bavx
Real Shaving Company Soothing Balm
Nivea sensitive

I really like the Provence Sante splashes (Green Tea and Verlaine).

Here is the ingredients list for the Green Tea:

INGREDIENTS : Water, witch hazel, polysorbate 80, vegetable glycerin, peg-7 glyceryl cocoate, fragrance, hydantoin, methylchloroisothiozilinone and methylisothiazolinone, shea butter.

Bullgoose and Wescoast Shaving have them.

I just got some Irisch Moos A/S Balsam for Christmas (wife bought from WCS). I really like it so far. Before the IM I frequently used L'Occitane balm. I still have the Speick and Musgo balms on my list. I have the alcohol version of the Speick and Musgo and have to say they are more like a skin care product than an aftershave. If I use either for a straight week or more my skin feels and looks its best.
