Nice, slim fit, polos for under $30?

Do they exist? The tailored fit ones from J. Crew are the closest I've found, but on sale for $30 is still slightly outside my budget. Besides, apparently I can get some custom made ones for $30 from a British tailoring firm.

So, anyone got any tips?

Hmmmm tuff question. I'm slim myself and enjoy slim fitted shirts. I would checkout Le Chateau for dress shirts as they have actual "slim-fit" shirts but not polos. Mexx also carries some tshirts which are slim fitted (again no polos). Last place you could try is Tommy Hilfiger as I have a friend who used to work there and he mentioned that they now carry men's XS sizes so those may give you a more slim-fit, but again the prices may not be what your looking for. Absolute last thing I can think of is to go to your local Winners (which is basically a name-brand outlet store) as they always have good choices. Try all the outlets you can find for various stores you find in your mall as well.
