Let's see and hear about what you got, last month there were so many acquisitions we had 11 pages!

Don't be shy, even if it's a pencil.

A shipment of Kokuyo tablets has found its way to my door. One 5-pack of Campus High Grade B5 and 1-10 pack of Campus B5 Slim. I have been using their Buncobon notebooks for a month or two and have really been enjoying the paper. Pics to come (assuming I can take pictures that are worth a crap).

That campus paper is of a really nice quality, I just wish the little pocket-sized notebooks were a little bit sturdier.

First rule of acquistition thread is you must include a photo ;)

Found my camera... Sorry for the lack of lighting. The flash whited it out so no go there...

Anyways. Pilot 78g in BB to replace my lost B. A Pilot Crystal Demonstrator was also supposed to be included in the package but it was left out. Speerbob (ebay) is already taking care of it. So I will have another post next week.

I ordered some Parker Quink Blue/Black too!!!

The B was easier to use like a normal pen... The BB isn't liking upward curves.

I was looking forward to the demonstrator. I want to eyedropper it and watch the ink :D

Excited to embark on this new hobby: Pilot Metropolitan, con-50 converter, J. Herbin Perle Noire, J. Herbin Orange Indien.

wow what a great way to jump in too, Ive only tried a couple of herbin inks, but they have both been fantastic for me
if you ever have the time would love to see a sample of that orange indien ink, ive been looking for a nice shading orange these days

welcome to your new AD, it sure is a fun one !

That is where it starts- I started with $7 Chinese pens and now I wont consider buying anything but piston or vac fillers.

Then how in the world do we enable?
But when you replace a cheap pen with a cheap pen and you're happy because of it... why not buy another cheap pen? o_O Oh yeah it doesn't always work that way!

Yesterday was a good day for me and a great start for February acquisitions!

Here's my threesome:

Top is a Wasp "The Clipper" from the late 1930s. WASP was a sub-brand of the William A. Sheaffer Pen Co. Other than needing a new sac (on order), it looks factory fresh. I found this one at a local junk shop, which will probably need a repeat visit since I didn't have time to go through the several trays of pens.

Here's another shot of the Wasp:

Below that is a Sheaffer Balance Sovereign (1937-1942) in striated gray pearl. It's got a two-tone lifetime gold nib and writes a medium line. I grabbed this off eBay for $25, it came with a new sac, and is already loaded up and ready to go!

Here's a beauty shot of the Sheaffer:

Finally, also from the local junk shop is a black chased hard rubber lever filler pen, labelled "Safety". It's probably from the 1920s or thereabout. It's not a safety pen, which is a special type of filler mechanism. It's in excellent shape, has a tiny super-flexy gold nib, and just needs a new sac to have it up and running.

It was a good day in the Snargle household!

I have a Wasp that I really like other than the squeaky nib... Mine is marbled green and has curved ends. Still love it! Mine has the same nib too.

Beautiful balance!

Vintage Sheaffers are fun.
