I started with a VDH brush. I then based on several recommendations to get "any Omega" got a Omega 31064. I wasn't very impressed with it. It always seemed to go "hollow" when it got wet and I liked the VDH better. I then got the 49 Omega. I love it! The VDH is wearing out and I still don't like the 31064. I'm leaning toward a Semogue 2000. I see good reviews about it but will I really like it twice as much as the 49 (price difference)?

Sounds to me like you have not broken in your 31064 yet. It is a big brush and will take a couple of months to break in completely.
Don't let this stop you from getting another brush though

I've had it since January and have used it every other day since then. It should be broken in by now. The 49 was better within a week and I believe it is considered a big brush too. Just wondering if another 49 would be a better choice.
