Newbie Rooney question

What is the difference between the styles (1 v 2 v 3)? I've looked at the images online and searched the forums, but I can't figure out what the differences are.

generically answering your question, the handles themselves are different. Unless you are refering to the knots, which can be a different grade in each style as well.

I mean when someone says "I have a 3/1 Rooney in Super", what does the 3/1 stand for?

That means handle style 3 with a knot size of 1. 1 is the smallest size and is a knot diameter of 22 mm
