Newbie on aftershaves: Need some help

Hi guys,

I just started shaving using straight razor and managed to get good shaves. However, compared to shaving with disposables cartridge, been having bit of sensation on the skin which I heard was normal. I got some spare aftershave from some perfume set that was bought quite some times ago and it did sooth the sensation.

My question to the more experienced people in here, does the aftershave produces by perfume companies work on par with the ones produced by shaving related companies/individuals which are featured in this forum? It's fairly easy for me to get my hand on the ones by perfume companies compared to the latter type.

Any thought on this? Thanks

I think it depends on what you are looking for. If you want a cologne, use one. If you are looking for something to help with some irritation and toning I'd suggest an AS made for shaving.

Paid suggest Proraso Splash... Green in color... Fresh clean scent and has a nice cooling bite that I love.

If you can find these cheaper and closer I would try the fragrance makers aftershave.
