New Straight Razor Find

Browsing around a few antique shops today and I found this. I don't know much about it. I believe I remember reading that wade and butcher made good razors. Anyone have any info on this razor?

Looks like a fine razor, congratulations. What info were you looking for?

Does it say Sheffield, or Sheffield England?

It says Sheffield England. I was looking for any info on the make. The age of the razor?

The England part usually means it post dates 1892. IF I recall correctly W&B were pretty much out of the straight razor business by the 1920's and more into making Durham Duplex things.

Nice looking razor and it should serve you well.

Thought I read, somewhere, that there was an international law passed sometime around then that required the country of origin had to be stated?

There was & the name of it escapes me right now. Check back though, because I'm sure someone will chime in with the name of the law. All I know is that W+B's with Sheffield ONLY are likely pre-1891, versus "Sheffield, England" ones which came later..
