New Shaving Items At WalMart

I saw at WalMart today that they brought out new shaving products and redid the entire section.Unfortunately ,none are DE related.Gone are Nivea Cool Kick Arctic Breeze,Nivea Energy Splash,Brut Attitude Aftershave, and few other things.I was wrong about them maybe discontinuing the Mach 3 because it is now in a different package. The products they have now are Bump Stopper,Aveno,Dove + Men,Neutrogena, and they have a section of new Axe shaving stuff like lotions, post shave balm, shaving gel, even razors.I was able to pick up some Nivea Splash, the Nivea Cool Kick Arctic Freeze, and a bottle of Brut Attitude AS on clearance.

The walmart around here does not even bother brushing the dust off of their old stock. Very discouraging.

I rarely go in Walmart. I got tired of the way they constantly move stuff around, to the point where even the people who work there coudn't tell you where to find anything. I view it as a Chinese factory outlet nowadays.

I'd take Target over Walmart any day. Walmart used to be great, but after Mr. Walton died the entire company became all about money and cheap Chinese made goods. Read somewhere that two of his relatives (his kids I believe) got greedy after he died and essentially outsourced everything to China. Back in the day almost everything in Walmart used to be made here in the USA. I bet you can guess where the majority of their products come from nowadays.

Canada??

Hey! Anything made in Canada is just as solid as stuff made in the US.
Canada doesn't make cheap Asian crap...if that's what you were implying.

You should have picked up some AXE shaving cream and told us about it.

The only shaving-related items I bought at Wal Mart are the Neutrogena Shave Cream (which is pretty darn good) and a tub of Noxzema.

I think dashmaverick was being a little facetios there.

Walmart is often refered to as chinamart on other forums.

I can't find that Nivea Cool Kick balm (that is the one you're talking about, right?) anywhere! I love that stuff. It's one of the few balms that doesn't make my skin feel oily, and it seems like it all disappeared at once around here. I would have gone bananas on that clearance stuff, filled a basket! Lol.

No Walmart for me either I hate what they stand for alot of there emplyess are on government assisted programs..Greed is what runs that company I go to Kroger.:thumbup1:

facetacos..lol.

i am in the middle of reading Sam Walton's book...Made in America....a very good read, if anyone is interested. I am with everyone as far as their products, but we have to admit that Walmart creates US jobs as well. I think they are the #1 employer in the country. I could be wrong about that. I'm not trying to spark a debate...i'm just sayin'.

I concur. Anything I ever bought that was made in Canada was rock solid, well built, and made to last. Big fan of their syrup and bacon as well:lol:

I live in a smaller town, about 13,000. No Target or Kroger, just walmart. Up until arout 4 years ago we had an independent that started after WWII, but the original owner's son and grandkids did not want to continue so it finally closed. They stocked a lot of old school type products in a lot of different areas. Some in shaving, others hardware, sporting goods(excellent firearms dealer, who special ordered some higher end guns for me) clothing(basically blue class working clothes, nothing really dress or fancy) Just a good old fashioned department/dry goods store. They also refused to open on Sundays. All we have left is walmart and some specialty stores but nothing with the variety of walmart. To get to something like a Kroger or Target its anywhere from 25-35 miles, so generally not worth it.

I have noticed something interesting at my Walmart. Believe it or not but the Wilkinson shaving soap dispenser and the Williams mug soap dispenser seems to be refilled pretty often.
