As I understand it, the high res of the retina display can only be used in certain programs, like games. It is not available during normal use. Also the soldered RAM and weird SSD make it nearly impossible to upgrade. Add that with the > $2k pricetag, I think I will pass.
Seems pretty cool and has a ton of power for the size but I'll probably wait for a couple iterations before buying one. Hopefully by then they'll open up the ability to upgrade ram and the ssd on our own.

Nice computer but unless you absolutly need one for work or school why would anyone spend $2200+ on a laptop these days!?
Meh. I can imagine many different ways to spend more $2K than on a computer.
Why worry about the SSD size? You shouldn't be storing important data on your laptop anyways, it should all be on external drives or in the cloud.
