I'm going to be in New Haven for a couple of days. Any good shaving gear available? I'm going to be on foot, so I can't get too far away from town.

Take the train, Metro North to Grand Central Statiion and then get over to Pasteur's, or Rattle & Hum tomorrow at 6 for the NYC Meetup.

I live in Cheshire, about 20 minutes from New Haven, by telephone. Sad to relate, there isn't much to be found there, so I do most of my ordering on line. The Owl Shop, 268 College Street (downtown, right of the Green,) is a tobacco shop that sometimes carries shave gear, but not a good selection, nor good quality.

And, like every place else, the drugstores all sell Fusions and various varieties of goop in a can.

I just walked by the Owl Shop--maybe I'll stop in and investigate just in case.

Beat me too it. Have not been to the shop there but to the one in Worcester which I think also has a small shaving selection.

But if you smoke pipes...Harkness Tower is one of the best blends going!!! One of the best Balkan blends out there!!!

I would have loved to have gone up there, but no wheels. In this cold, I was lucky to walk from my hotel to get a cup of coffee.

I sat around in there for a while today. If I wasn't traveling, I would have got liquored up and smoked a couple of cigars. As it is, I had to catch a flight later this afternoon so I had a couple of espressos and bought a couple of different pipe tobaccos.
